The “Safety Leadership Award” is open to all current GAHBA members. Homeaid Atlanta

Last Thursday HomeAid Atlanta and Making A Way Housing supporters gathered to celebrate the completed renovation of an apartment building at Making A Way Housing that will soon provide 16 additional beds for homeless individuals. Steve Brock of Brock Built Homes served as volunteer Builder Captain. HomeAid is grateful to Steve and the Brock Built team for their excellent leadership on this project!

Pictured, from the left, are Jeff Brock, Steve King, Steve Brock, Lori Rousseau, and Ronnie Gullatt.

On Friday HomeAid supporters celebrated the groundbreaking of a renovation project at House of Dawn in Jonesboro, led by volunteer Builder Captain Doug Cotter in partnership with Silverstone Communities. House of Dawn provides a home for young mothers and their children at risk for homelessness and abuse, as well as educational opportunities and life training. The renovation will add another bathroom to four existing duplex units, doubling House of Dawn’s transitional housing capacity from eight mothers and babies to 16.
