Membership Benefits

ADVOCACY: The goal of the Greater Atlanta HBA’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is to promote and protect the home building industry in and around Atlanta. The GAC regularly meets with local officials to build relationships and educate lawmakers about the needs of builders and how the home building industry benefits the economy. In addition, donations raised for the Builder Political Action Committee (BPAC) help support political candidates and causes that will further advance builder interests in the area.

The GAC meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. For more information or to find out how to get involved, contact HBA Government Affairs Director Stephen Davis at (678) 775-1428 or

HomeAid Atlanta's 2018 Essentials Drive wrapped up last Friday, just in time for Mother’s Day. HomeAid sends a very sincere thank you to the Greater Atlanta HBA for its overwhelming support for this year’s Essentials Drive. While the numbers aren’t yet totaled, HomeAid volunteers and staff feel this may be the biggest Essentials Drive yet!

On Wednesday, May 9, thousands of collected baby items were dropped off at Meridian Brick & Masonry Supply in Smyrna. On Thursday, more than 30 volunteers gathered to sort, count, and pack these donations for delivery. On Friday, UPS and HomeAid volunteers delivered the items to more than 21 organizations serving homeless babies and their mothers around the Atlanta area.

HomeAid thanks all donors, collection sites, volunteers, and supporters of the 2018 Essentials Drive. More details coming soon! Visit or for more photos and information.
