Last week the HBA's Sales and Marketing Council held its first program meeting of the year, "Set Your Sights on 2018 & Beyond." There was a great turnout last Wednesday for the DeKalb/Rockdale Chapter lunch meeting at the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant. Government Affairs

The 2018 HBAG Winter Board Meeting & Rally at the Capitol will be held February 20 at the Georgia State Capitol. This is the perfect opportunity to meet with local legislators and learn the issues important to them that might affect home building. In return, legislators are able to learn from individuals in the building industry. Please call your legislator ahead of time and set an appointment to meet. You can easily find contact information via the Action Center on the HBAG website. Let them know you’ll be at the capitol to say hello and talk about legislation the home builders are working on this year.

The monthly Government Affairs Committee meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 22, at 9:00 a.m. The change was made to avoid conflict with the HBAG Rally at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 20. The Government Affairs Committee will resume its regular meeting schedule of third Tuesday of every month on March 20. To RSVP for the meeting, contact Rachel Hodge at (678) 775-1420 or rhodge@atlantahba.com

Special thanks to SR Homes’ Edsel Yera, 2017 SMC Special Events Committee Co-Chair Ansley Brooks, the entire SMC Silent Auction Committee, and the members and staff of the Greater Atlanta HBA for making the event such a great success!
