Whether selling "green" or selling "superior building practices", making and delivering promises have legal and practical risks. Exaggerated, false, misleading or overstated claims, undisclosed tradeoffs and unanticipated maintenance issues are just some of the complaints from consumers. Safeguarding your business while effectively and properly marketing products and services is vital. Participants in this session will discuss contract provisions, marketing materials, FTC green guidelines, and unfair trade practice risks.

Kevin Veler, Esq. will facilitate this session. During his career before starting his own practice in 2005, Mr. Veler associated with several prestigious law firms (some as staff counsel and otherson a project basis), has been on corporate counsel staffs to severalcorporations in areas as diverse as hotel and office real estate development andmanagement. He has also been legal counsel to the NationalAssociation of the Remodeling Industry-Atlanta and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals-Georgia.
