HomeAid Care Day Volunteers Needed

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

HomeAid Atlanta is in the planning phases for several HomeAid Cares Day projects.  As the designated charity of the HBA, we appreciate all the support you give to those in need.  Please consider volunteering to help pressure wash (fascia board, windows, garage door) at a home for families operated by Decatur Cooperative Ministries.  Additional volunteers will do repairs and painting after the washing (work to be completed in late September).  We also need assistance with the building of a storage seating bench for My House, a home that serves medically fragile infants and children.  Can you build it?

Why volunteer?  Dan O’Dwyer of O’Dwyer Homes shares his feelings on volunteering for HomeAid.

"As homebuilders [and trade partners], we have the opportunity to provide a wonderful gift to those that are less fortunate. HomeAid gives us the chance to give back to the community that has provided us with our livelihood. This is why I became involved.  There is a tremendous amount of pride in knowing that you have provided [or maintained] shelter to homeless families, giving them the ability to change their lives. I would recommend that everyone take this opportunity for personal and corporate enrichment."

Please contact HomeAid program manager Jean Hilyard at jean_homeaid@atlantahomebuilders.com or 678.775.1401 to volunteer.  Thank you!
