NEW – ON: National Code to be adopted through Code Adoption Documents

On October 13, 2020 Ontario’s Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) announced they are adopting the National Code through Code Adoption Documents (CAD) for all regulated sectors.

The propane CAD consultation is scheduled for posting in October 2020 and includes a 30-day consultation period. If this timeline is followed, the code adoption documents would be published sometime in November 2020 and be effective within 60 days of publication. The date for the CAD becoming effective is flexible, based on industry feedback, according to the TSSA. The CPA will notify members as soon as the documents are posted for consultation to ensure there is adequate opportunity to provide input into this process.
