Transfer of Propane Requirements Not Consistently Applied in Canada

Print this Article

As reported last week, the CPA believes that safety requirements should be consistently applied to different types of transfers, which is not currently the case between Federal and Provincial facilities. On October 23, the CPA sent a letter to the chair of the National Public Safety Advisory Committee and will follow up with a strategy, if required, to ensure appropriate measures are adopted for the safe transfer of propane from rail to truck on federal facilities. A copy of the letter can be viewed here.
