The CPA has been collaborating with the Propane Education and Research Council and the National Propane Gas Association to support the use of low-emission propane in energy transition discussions, both in the U.S. and Canada.

The CPA met with the provincial government on December 7, 2022 to discuss the expanded use of propane to help meet NL’s clean transportation goals. The meeting was a follow-up from discussions held this past summer with Minister Andrew Parsons.

Provinces in Atlantic Canada have been offered funding to support programming that would see the end of furnace oil for home heating. It is part of the “electrification of everything” program the federal government is offering through the Canada Greener Homes Grant.
