Bruce Osborne Retires from Maxquip after 44 years in the Propane Industry

After 44 years in the propane industry, Bruce Osborne is retiring, effective August 31, 2021. Bruce is currently the operations manager for Maxquip’s Edmonton, Alberta facility, where he has spent the last 19 years of his career.

Bruce landed his first job in 1977 with Western Industrial Products before transitioning into a subsequent role with Interquip, a division of RNG Group Inc., as a sales representative.

In 2002, Bruce and industry colleagues started Maxquip. From the humble beginnings of working from his garage, he used his leadership to develop Maxquip into a successful supplier of propane equipment in the region.  His friendly approach towards his customers and colleagues earned him the nickname, “Uncle Brucy”.

Throughout his career, Bruce has been very active in supporting propane industry associations. Prior to the formation of the CPA, he served twice as the chairman for the Alberta committee, the annual Red Deer seminar, and once as the membership chairman. He has also served on a past Alberta Lobby Committee. Bruce is currently a member of the Lamplighters Association of Alberta.

Kendall Betker will serve as the operations manager for Maxquip’s Edmonton branch upon Bruce’s retirement.
