NEW – State of Energy in Québec 2021

On January 28, 2021, the State of Energy in Quebec announced the 7th edition of its annual report, State of Energy in Québec. The report, compiled by the Energy Sector Management at HEC Montréal, provides a review of the Québec government’s efforts to achieve its energy transition objectives, particularly as they relate to energy consumption, transport and production.

During the meeting, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Minister responsible for the Côte-Nord region, Jonatan Julien, discussed highlights from the report. He said that the report provides reliable and comprehensive data and is intended to be used as a tool to guide ministerial policies. He also commented on the  challenges and issues identified in the report that decision-makers will have to tackle to achieve their energy transition goals.
