Results of the February 20, 2019 Québec-California Carbon Market Joint Auction

The results of the February 20, 2019 greenhouse gas (GHG) emission units auction held jointly with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) are now available.
 
During the sale, 80,847,404 current vintage emission units were sold at $20.82 CA ($15.73 US), and 5,983,000 2022 vintage emission units went for $20.68 CA ($15.62 US). The sale generated $215 million CAN in revenue for Québec. The results of the auction (the quantity of emission units sold and final prices) and the identity of participating bidders are available on the MELCC website.
