ON: CPA welcomes Ontario's environmental plan

On November 29, the Ontario government released its plan for the environment, Preserving and Protecting Our Environment For Future Generations: A Made-In-Ontario Environment Plan.
 
The CPA responded by issuing a news release applauding the government’s push to remove unnecessary provincial regulations. “The minister’s plan provides important conditions that will foster investment by the propane industry, resulting in the expansion of low-emission propane in Ontario, including auto propane,” said Dan Kelly, Board Chair of the Canadian Propane Association. “The government’s commitment to move forward with an accelerated capital cost allowance is an important element in that regard.” 
 
The CPA has identified other potential opportunities in Ontario’s environmental plan for the industry, including the publicly funded Ontario Carbon Trust to leverage private investment in clean technologies.
