The Canada-European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a trade agreement with European partners. According to the Federal Government, CETA will open new markets in the EU for our exporters and generate significant benefits for all Canadians.

Minister Champagne’s office, International Trade, contacted the CPA indicating they are at hand to support the success of the propane industry and enterprises under this Agreement. CETA covers virtually all sectors and aspects of Canada-EU trade to eliminate or reduce barriers. CETA addresses everything from tariffs to product standards, investment, professional certification and many other areas of activity.

For more information on CETA, please visit the CETA website. For additional information, CPA members can contact Leah C. Nosal, Special Assistant, Policy, Office of the Minister of International Trade at 343-203-5948 or 613-617-4946 or email Leah.Nosal@international.gc.ca
