On November 17 and 18, the CPA met with a number of senior government officials in Alberta and British Columbia to provide an update on recent propane industry activities, as well as share key opportunities and challenges that the industry currently faces.
In Edmonton, the CPA, represented by Executive Director Andrea Labelle, Senior Director of Public Affairs & Policy Allan Murphy, and Regional Manager - West Scott McFadyen, met with officials from the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Municipal Affairs, as well as the Alberta Energy critic. The meetings with the new government focused on providing an introduction to the propane industry, and opened the door for the industry to provide input into future government policy.

In Victoria, CPA members Willie Stephen of Maxquip and Brian Osland of National Energy Equipment joined the CPA team to give a presentation to the B.C. Liberal Caucus. While in Victoria, the CPA also met with the Environment Minister, Mary Polak (pictured third from left with Brian Osland, Andrea Labelle and Willie Stephen), the Energy and Mines Minister, Bill Bennett, the Jobs, Tourism, and Skills Training Minister, Shirley Bond, their deputy ministers, senior officials from the Premier’s office, the leader of the opposition, a number of MLAs and officials.
