The CPA’s Board of Directors give their time, expertise and leadership to help maintain a strong, strategic association that brings value for members and contributes to the future of the propane industry in Canada. As part of regular board succession, the CPA would like to thank outgoing Board of Directors Dan Kelly, Steven Wilson and Chantelle McGivern for their expertise, dedication, and energy over the past several years as well as welcome new board member, Jason Cooper.

The CPA’s June 15th AGM was the last board meeting for Dan Kelly, CFO at Dowler-Karn Ltd. Dan dedicated the last eight years to the CPA, three as Chair of the board and one as Past-Chair. His commitment and support to the CPA and to the industry was remarkable. Thanks to Dan’s family and Dowler-Karn who made this possible.

Steven Wilson, Wilson Fuels, a dedicated CPA director from 2014 to 2021, also chaired the Financial Affairs Committee for several years and supported the adoption of crucial financial policies and processes over the years. He also represented the CPA members on our subsidiary, the Emergency Response Assistance Canada organization, to provide top of the line emergency response when required.

Finally, we thank Chantelle McGivern, NGL Sales & Marketing Manager at Shell Chemicals Canada who also left the board to pursue new and very meaningful activities after 18 years at Shell. Her knowledge of our industry contributed to our work and her trust in us was greatly appreciated by all of us.

The CPA is also very pleased to welcome Jason Cooper, Senior Manager of Sales for Dowler-Karn in St. Thomas, Ontario, to the board. Jason, who will be filling the Retail Marketers, Central seat, has a deep passion and understanding of the propane industry and will be a great asset to our board of directors. Welcome, Jason!
