NEW - MB: Lower speed limits could affect members who transport propane

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

CPA members who transport propane via the highways in Manitoba will need to be aware that the province has amended the Speed Limits and Restricted Speed Area Regulation under the Highway Traffic Act to lower speed limits on designated provincial roads. It is thought the new speed reductions will improve the level of safety on Manitoba’s roadways.

The province conducted a 45-day consultation on speed reductions earlier this year which indicated strong support for speed limit reductions in the town of Niverville, and Rural Municipalities of Headingley and Springfield. For information on the speed reduction, see Speed Restrictions and Limit Section 94.2 under the Highway Traffic Act.
