I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2019. The CPA team and I look forward to continue to providing you value and to be member-driven and unwavering on your behalf.

I'd also like to inform you about some changes that have recently taken place with the team: First, it is with sadness that we announce that James Daniels, Manager, Regulatory Affairs, left the CPA on January 11, 2019. James is pursuing his career with the Canadian Railway Association as policy analyst. We thank James for his excellent work over the last three years and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.

Melissa Michaud has been promoted and is now Director, Administration and Operations.  Reporting directly to myself, Melissa is now responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the administrative and operational functions and activities at the Canadian Propane Association.

I am also please to announce that Sophie Léger Cormier has been promoted to Manager, Training Operations and that Paulette Walters is now Coordinator, Certification.

Also joining the team will be Gerry Strangemore, our new in-house Manager, Finance. Gerry graduated with honours in both Accounting and Operations & Materials Management and has over 17 years of experience. He will be working with Ray Butler in the next few months to ensure an efficient transition.

Congratulations team!
