The CPA is exploring the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Forward Summit: Empowering Indigenous Communities taking place in Calgary, Alberta February 26-28, 2019. The Summit is an Indigenous-led event that includes roundtable discussions, workshops and the opportunity to meet with Indigenous leaders, industry and government representatives to explore partnerships and identify opportunities to build successful economic partnerships with Indigenous communities.

The CPA is exploring participation in a few ways. The association is looking at putting together a panel to lead a workshop session on how the propane industry can best collaborate with Indigenous communities to find alternative solutions to diesel and oil.

The second opportunity is to participate in a pavilion kiosk that would enable you to: meet with key influencers and build relationships with Indigenous communities, explore new business opportunities, learn from success stories of other nations and their Industry partners, educate Indigenous and industry delegates about the benefits of propane, and gain a better understanding of the value of employing an Indigenous workforce and learning how to do it.

The cost to participate in the kiosk would be around $2,700, depending on the number of member participants. Cost would include passes to the summit, workshop and other summit activities, as well as branding promotion.

If your company is interested in attending the Summit and partnering with the CPA, please contact CPA Sr. Director of Communications & Marketing Tammy Hirsch at tammyhirsch@propane.ca or 587.349.5876.
