Free Supply Chain Workshop - Preparing for Shaken Fury Earthquake Exercise

 

American Logistics Aid Network, MIT’s Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab, and LIFT Nonprofit Logistics are hosting a free, web-based Supply Chain workshop in preparation for the Shaken Fury 2019 national disaster exercise. The workshop will:

 1.Provide information on how businesses can participate in the exercise
    and future supply chain informational calls,

2.Discuss anticipated disruption / destruction of public and private
    logistics infrastructure along with cascading impacts, and

3.Surface information needed and challenges anticipated during such a scenario.

Shaken Fury is FEMA’s 2019 National Exercise taking place May 29 – June 7. The exercise simulates a 7.7 magnitude earthquake along the Cottonwood Grove Fault, the southwest segment of the New Madrid Seismic Zone, near Memphis, TN. The scenario affects the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. Exercise play for private sector businesses is concentrated on June 3-5.
