Member News
As a community of school business management professionals across Florida, we are dedicated to networking, sharing knowledge, and finding solutions in the ever-evolving world of education. We are continually grateful to those who contribute to the success of our association. In this column, we’ll spotlight FASBO members to help strengthen connections within our community.

This month's member spotlight is LaTresa Carlisle, our FASBO President.

A: Latresa Carlisle
Escambia County School District
Network Infrastructure Specialist

Q: What drew you to this role, and how did you get started in this field?
A: I went to school and studied Network and Telecommunications Management when I relocated to Pensacola. I wanted to work a job that had the same hours as my kids, so the school district was perfect.

A: 2016

Q: Why did you join the organization?
A: My manager at the time was a member of FASBO, and she advised that my leadership skills were a perfect match for FASBO. So I came to a meeting and enjoyed the conference and the many qualities and networking opportunities it brought.

Q: Who/what inspires you?
A: My Grandmother Inez Armstrong

Q: What career advice do you live by? Who gave you this advice?
A: To always put God first and treat everyone like God would. Always do your best and to continue to learn because knowledge is power. My grandma worked hard and always welcomed everyone in.
