A new bill under consideration by Florida lawmakers proposes significant changes to the educational requirements for students in public schools. (WPTV)
In 2024, Florida lawmakers changed the state's child labor laws to allow 16 and 17-year-old's to work more than 30 hours per week during the school year – with the permission of parents, guardians, or school superintendents. Now they are looking to make even more changes. This week, a Florida Senate panel gave initial approval to a measure that would further roll back work restrictions for children as young as 14. (WESH)
