Gov. Rick Scott announced this week that schools in at least eight Florida counties, including Washington, Liberty, Jackson, Gulf, Gadsden, Franklin, Calhoun and Bay, will remain closed until further notice as officials desperately try to figure out how to resume classes after Hurricane Michael damaged or destroyed so many school buildings last week. Current Superintendent Molly Spearman is supporting the change. (The74)
