A WORD FROM THE CAROLINAS FENCE ASSOCIATION

[cont'd]

In 2019, we have seen members successfully complete AFA's Fence Training School with a Scholarship from our Chapter. Through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes, we have seen a Veterans life transformed through the security of a privacy fence erected with donated materials and volunteer labor from within our membership. We see athletes lives transformed with special equipment and training through our monetary donations to the Special Olympics each year. We see young men and their families transformed through athletics, tutoring, and character-building opportunities with our annual contribution to Power Cross Ministries. We support Claire's Army , an organization that strives to act as God’s hands and feet for families fighting childhood cancer by supporting their daily responsibilities, allowing the family to put time and focus on their child. We also help members of our regional fence community by showing them the value of being a member of the Carolinas Chapter and the American Fence Association

This Chapter has proven again and again that being part of a Fence Association is so much bigger than networking with vendors and having some fun at our Events. It is about building a legacy with the resources we have as a group of Vendors and Contractors and showing our community that we are more than just local businesses out to make a buck.

I have been honored to serve as the President of our Chapter over the past 3 years and I want to thank everyone that has mentored and supported me through the process. I have worked hard to represent our chapter well, both locally and at the national level.

As I move on to serve the AFA on Board Of Directors, I look forward to seeing the value that Scott Galpin will bring as the new President of the Carolinas Chapter. His knowledge of our industry, as well as, his heart for service make him the perfect President to take our Chapter into the future.

Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to serving along side you in the future.

Jon McCoy
Past President
