Kieler, WI – The need to help livestock producers has led M&A Manufacturing, Kieler, Wisconsin, to develop a universal hinge extension that allows an agricultural gate to swing around the corner post to nearly 180 degrees in each direction. The universal gate hinge extension is added to the lag bolt gate hinge pin. The extension is placed directly on the existing hinge pin to extend the pivot point of the gate. The gate then is allowed to clear the corner post and come around to nearly 180 degrees.
"Several of my customers had expressed frustration with gates that would not swing all the way open, or bounce back of off the corner post and either close, or slam into their vehicle as they passed through," said Doug Heiar, inventor of the Gate Hinge Extension.
The universal hinge extension is manufactured using American steel in Kieler, Wisconsin and can be shipped throughout the entire United States. The hinge extensions are sold in pairs, one pair required for each gate. The package includes all hardware needed for installation.
