AFA is excited to announce the brand new Operations Manager School, built for superintendents, managers, and other employees responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of fence contracting companies.  There will also be a Certified Operations Manager program launching through ACI at the same time.

In addition, we’ve added an EXTRA DAY to Fence Installation School! Now students will arrive on Saturday (a day earlier than previous years) and receive hands on experience in digging post holes and setting posts as part of the training program on Sunday.

Do I have to attend AFA University for all two weeks?
No. AFA offers six different schools during that two-week period and you select the school(s) you wish to attend.  Some schools are three days long and some schools run for a full week.

Do the posted dates for each school include travel time or do I need to add additional time for flights and travel?
The posted dates for each school start with your arrival date and end with your departure date.  Plan on arriving the first day listed with school beginning the following day (for example, FIS students arrive on Saturday, October 30 with school beginning Sunday, October 31) and departing on the last listed day (FIS ends on Friday night with a graduation dinner and students are free to leave anytime on Saturday, November 6).  The included hotel dates are listed on each event page on the AFA website and full travel details are included in your confirmation email when you register for the school.

What’s included in tuition?
Your tuition includes the school fees, your hotel room, and all breakfasts, lunches, and dinners throughout the week. The only other costs you’ll be responsible for are your travel to and from the Dallas airport.

Are certifications included with school tuition?
No. Certifications are managed by the Accreditation and Certification Institute and require a separate application and payment from your school registration.  If you register for a school with a corresponding certification, you can find details in your school confirmation email with how to register for the certification exam.  It is highly recommended you register in advance and put in some study time prior to the school in order to maximize your chances of passing.  You can find certification applications at https://acieducation.org

What should I bring?
A full list of what to bring is included in your school confirmation email.
