CONTROLLED PRODUCTS ADDS SURE-FI TO ITS LINEUP OF SUPPLIER PARTNERS

The Wiegand Wireless Bridge (ES004) is a substitute for hard-wiring any standard Wiegand protocol.  With "Bunker Busting" wireless technology, the system can transmit Wiegand data and/or a relay signal up to one mile with obstructions and 50 miles plus line-of-sight.

"Considering the price point of this stable technology, installers may include this as a standard installation method over wire. In the past, wireless was considered a ‘contingency’ should running conduit be too expensive or out of the question all together. Now, utilizing a ‘bridge’  may be less expensive than wire and labor required to complete most jobs,"  says Zach Eichenberger, director of marketing for Controlled Products.

Feature sets include one Wiegand input, two relay outputs (wet or dry), request to exit, and a door monitor input. All of this information feeds back to the controller for authorization of the credential and is captured in the audit trail. A sealed 12-volt battery can be connected to the integrated charge controller for battery backup. Kits come with 9-volt batteries for quick and easy field testing prior to installation ensuring range needs are met.

"Installing dealers have an opportunity to lower the overall cost of installation with Sure-Fi.  With rising costs of copper and the competitive world of bid work, this product can make earlier adopters stand out from the competition. We are excited to add this product to the line-up,"  says Scott Neeley, vice president of sales for Controlled Products.
