FAA Has a New Home

Dear Association Members,

For the past several months, your association leadership has explored the feasibility of moving from third-party management to self management. The decision to be self-managed was made by your FAA Board of Directors at their meeting during the recent Education Conference & Trade Show. The new office opens on Nov. 1, 2012.

I've been hired to continue as your Executive Vice President. I'm excited and enthused to continue to serve you, the members of our association. Joining me are three staff members, Laura Heiselman, your current Government Affairs Director; Ralph Robinson, CMP, who's worked with our supplier partners for the past two Education Conferences as Director of Exhibits & Sponsorships; and Rona Long, who also comes to FAA with experience. Rona managed our lease program and had administrative responsibilities for FAA. Laura's role will expand to include member communications, including our quarterly magazine, Multifamily Florida. Ralph's new title is Director of Meetings & Affiliate Relations, an expanded role for Ralph. He'll not only continue with his conference planning responsibilities, but he'll also assist our local affiliate associations in several areas, including membership promotion and recruitment, as well as seminar speaker recruitment and coordination for our local associations. Rona will, once again, manage the lease program, along with bookkeeping responsibilities for the association.

Your staff team is ready, willing and able to take FAA to the next level. We're excited to know that your volunteer leaders have put their faith in us to the lead the association. We work directly for them and you, our members. This venture is a milestone for FAA, that your staff takes very seriously. Should you have ideas for new programs or services and suggestions for areas in which we can improve, we want to hear from you. All of your suggestions are welcomed and encouraged!

The new office is located at 875 Concourse Parkway South, Suite 125, Maitland, FL 32751, in the Maitland Concourse office park. We're located just off I-4 at the Maitland exit. When exiting I-4, you would go east and turn at the first traffic light onto Maitland Concourse. We have new telephone and fax numbers also. Our telephone number is 407-960-2910 and the fax is 407-960-2911. If you're in the area, please stop by our new office, between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. We'd love to have you visit and see the new office! Your staff is proud of the new offices and I'm certain that you will be too.

Our email addresses are: marjorie@faahhq.org; laura@faahq.org; ralph@faahq.org; and rona@faahq.org.

On behalf of the rest of the staff, we look forward to serving you for many years to come.

With best regards,
Marjorie Cook, EVP
