ContraVest, Based in Altamonte Springs, Develops Luxury Apartments in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, Fla. - ContraVest, a vertically integrated multifamily real estate company, is partnering with Northwestern Mutual to begin construction on a 330 unit luxury apartment community in St. Petersburg. The community, named The Courtney at Bay Pines, will have two-, three- and four-story buildings with elevators and will consist of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It is conveniently located across from the Bay Pines VA Hospital and a mile from the beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. This unique infill site will be part of a 60-acre mixed-use redevelopment site and will obtain a bronze rating from the Florida Green Building Coalition (FBGC). ContraVest will also provide the general contracting and property management services for the project. Leasing will begin in March 2013 and move-ins will begin the following May.
