It's Official!
FAA's proposed legislation has left drafting and is now Senate Bill (SB) #426. SB426 would enable professional process servers to deliver the Writ of Possession (not execute it) in an eviction. The objective is to minimize the time elapsed between the court approving an eviction to proceed and the Writ being delivered. We anticipate that SB426 will have a house companion bill number shortly. Many thanks to Senator Jack Latvala and Representative Frank Artiles for agreeing to sponsor our bill!

We are also monitoring many other bills that have been filed and/or proposed. These include Toxic Contamination Notification, adding protected classes, illegal immigration and much more.

Welcome Rebecca!
The FAA Government Affairs Department is pleased to welcome Rebecca Marie Martinez to the team as our spring intern. Ms. Martinez is a senior at the University of Central Florida, majoring in English Literature and minoring in Philosophy and Political Science.  She is from Tampa and was the proud recipient of a Florida "Bright Futures" scholarship. Rebecca is active in the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, whose philanthropic activities include assisting with C.A.S.A (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

Rebecca will aid Government Affairs Director Chip Tatum in various tasks. Please join us in welcoming her by emailing ga@crowsegal.com.
