Master License Renewal Reminder!

As the Director of Education at the Electrical Association, I want to remind all Master Electricians that the deadline to renew your license is fast approaching. Licenses for Master Electricians expire on February 28, 2025, and to remain compliant with the Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), you must complete 16 continuing education (CE) credits before this date.

Whether you hold a single-state license or multiple licenses across state lines, our courses are approved in several states, so you can rest assured that you'll meet the CE requirements regardless of your licensing needs.

How to Renew Your License with the Department of Labor and Industry

Once you've completed your 16 CE credits, renewing your license is straightforward. Follow these steps from the Minnesota DLI:

1. Log into the DLI Online Licensing System: Visit the DLI website and log in with your credentials.
2. Review Your CE Credits: Ensure your CE credits have been reported. If you took courses with us, they are generally reported to DLI directly, but always double-check to confirm.
3. Complete the Application: Fill out the online application form, which includes verifying your CE credits and updating any personal information if needed.
4. Pay the Renewal Fee: Submit the required fee to finalize your renewal. The amount will be specified on the DLI website.
