The Electrical Association believes in second chances. Just because someone made a poor choice in their past doesn’t mean they wouldn’t make a great employee today. Navigating hiring someone with a criminal background can be tricky and confusing territory. That is why EA has partnered with Fair Chance Employer to guide our members through the process.

Have you had a candidate that came in and impressed you in the interview process, only to find they have a mark on their criminal background? Your hiring process doesn’t need to stop there. Enter Fair Chance Employer, a solution designed to make hiring justice involved candidates

  • Easy to use and understand
  • Helps employers make sense of what a background check means
  • Provides the training and compliance for the EEOC and FCRA requirements all employers must follow

We have developed the employer coaching necessary to help vet these candidates, easily comply with regulatory guidelines, and inform your decision-making process so you are comfortable with your hiring decisions. Would you like to learn more? Contact me at mdreier@electricalassociation.com to add Fair Chance Employer to your hiring process.
