ABC Challenges Biden’s Davis-Bacon Rule in Texas District Court
Associated Builders and Contractors and its Southeast Texas chapter today announced filings in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, challenging the U.S. Department of Labor’s controversial final rule, Updating the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts Regulations, which applies to federal and federally assisted construction projects funded by taxpayers. - ABC National
 
AGC Sues To Block Biden Administration’s Unlawful Effort To Expand The Reach Of The Decades-Old Davis-Bacon Law
The Associated General Contractors of America filed suit today in federal court to block the Biden Administration’s unlawful effort to expand the reach of a decades-old law that governs wage rates on federally funded construction projects. Association officials noted that the administration lacks the legal authority to expand the law to cover manufacturing facilities miles away from projects, or to retroactively impose the measure on already-executed contracts, among other concerns. - AGC National
Siemens plans to spend $150 million to build a leading-edge electrical equipment plant in Fort Worth, Texas, that is meant to meet demand from a data center industry poised for growth amid exponential adoption of generative AI. The two-day TEXO OSHA 10-Hour course serves as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training on the specific hazards of the job when required by OSHA standards. After completing the course, participants are mailed an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach wallet-sized card.
