Construction and contracting businesses have been facing workforce issues for some time. When the competition for employees is this intense and the candidate field so uneven, companies need to ensure they are using the best techniques for attracting and hiring new talent.

TEXO member Loren Smith with Andres Construction and Carrie Gardenhire with Arcoro will share their first-hand experiences and successes hiring employees and helping to cultivate the craft professional workforce. This includes how to promote job openings, how to leverage existing employees in recruiting, why culture is an important recruiting tool and how appropriately staying in touch with candidates enhances success.

TEXO is building a new committee in order to build a coalition of construction professionals who believe that Virtual Construction helps us build better, build smarter, and build faster. VCX is a place for candid conversations about what is and is not working, how different project stakeholders can better support each other, and how virtual work can most effectively translate to the built environment.
