TEXO Foundation raises funds to support the construction industry through the generous support of our TEXO members. Our goal is that, through university support via scholarships and grants, high-quality employees will be attracted to the Dallas/Fort Worth construction market. In 2021, the TEXO Foundation awarded $25,000 in scholarships to students from regional universities, and we look forward to them starting their career in the North Texas area for employment through internships and upon graduation.

Deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 1

Experts expect millions of new construction jobs in the coming months and say immigration reform is the best way to increase the labor pool and ease shortages. Any long-term immigration reform likely won't be possible until after this year's elections, but short-term solutions could include a temporary visa program for construction and charging fees for Foreign Labor Certification applications to help speed up processing, they say.

Companies with strong safety standards and minimal insurance claims are being held back by traditional insurance. If you’re paying more than $200k in insurance and your claims are less than 50% of that premium, a captive can take your company to the next level. Your unused loss funds along with your investment returns go back into your bank account rather than giving it to the insurance company. You gain control of your premiums and build equity in your insurance program. Hear when it’s the right time to change your approach.
