Contractors’ bid prices for constructing new nonresidential buildings finally caught up with soaring costs for the materials and service they buy in May, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government data released today. Association officials cautioned that contractors will have a hard time keeping pace with additional price spikes for many key construction materials.
  
The Federal Reserve may feel increased pressure to raise interest rates after inflation increased 8.6% year over year in May, the biggest yearly increase since December 1981. What's particularly concerning, says Bank of America executive Ethan Harris, is that the problem has affected "every nook and cranny of the economy."
  
June 14 marks the ninth anniversary of National Forklift Safety Day. This annual event serves as the focal point for forklift manufacturers to reinforce the importance of operator safety training and forklift safety practices.

This course is designed to help students build essential lifesaving skills. Students will be qualified to train others in Medic First Aid/CPR, use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), disease prevention from Bloodborne Pathogens and Infant/Child Rescue skills and AED applications. Students will apply those skills in optional scenario-based practices. Upon course completion, students will be approved to instruct HSI training programs in BasicPlus, CarePlus, Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Oxygen and Child/Infant Supplement.
