Building Erection Stability – The Next Level of Construction Safety, Presented by Walter P. Moore

There has been substantial focus on safety within the construction industry, with positive results, but usually with a focus on employee safety related to personal protective equipment, e.g., safety glasses, hard hats, proper shoes, gloves, safety harnesses, etc. This session will focus on the stability of structures during erection which some consider to be the next level of construction safety. Contractors should have the same emphasis on erection stability as there is on personal protective equipment. Examples will be shown of how simple missteps during erection caused major structural failures resulting in serious injury and loss of life.

An Introduction to Vibration Considerations, Investigations, and Solutions, Presented by Walter P. Moore
Register Here!

Vibration concerns can be difficult for facility owners and operators to understand, plan for, and mitigate. One of the primary difficulties in understanding vibrations is that they are often fleeting and impossible to quantify without sophisticated testing equipment. This educational seminar will focus on providing an introduction to common types of vibration problems and steps that can be taken to appropriately plan for acceptable vibration level-of-service as well as tools for mitigating vibration concerns.
