The Education & Training Committee opened its Call for Workshops for the Fall Workshop Series scheduled for Oct. 5-7, 2021 in Denver, CO. Workshop proposals are due by May 28.
The Call for Abstracts for the 2022 conference in San Diego is open and closes on June 27th. With what will be the first face-to-face conference in two years, we look forward to another excellent technical program under the leadership of Conference Technical Program Chair Joe Goldstein (Geosyntec) and Vice-Chair Ed Toms (AECOM).
USSD welcomes the two newest members to the Board of Directors. They will assume their board seats after the conference on May 21.

All sessions will be uploaded to USSD's Learning Center a few weeks after the conference ends. All attendees will have access to the on-demand sessions for one-year. The proceedings will be available on the ussdams.org website within the same timeframe.

Arun Parsons, P.E. has joined GEI Consultants as a Senior Practice Leader working from GEI’s Oakland, CA office. Arun brings to GEI more than 17 years of experience planning and implementing construction management services for dams, flood control, and water infrastructure projects in the United States and overseas.
Marine construction firm J.F. Brennan Company (Brennan) recently established a permanent presence in the Mid-South Region.The company’s new Mid-South location is in Paducah, Kentucky, and will provide all Brennan services, including above and below-water construction and environmental remediation services.
WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, is pleased to welcome Richard Chavez and Derek Messier to its leadership team for Southern California and Nevada.
Chavez will serve as the advisory and planning business line leader and Messier as the operations leader for the district.
