OWB Continues Important Capacity Building in Belize
Another OWB Super Volunteer - Ron Enns (far left in photograph above with trainees) - recently completed a two week training visit with the Belize Water Services (BWS). This was Ron's third training trip to Belize and his excellent dedication and commitment to the Belizean communities and OWB is applauded and greatly appreciated.
Ron conducted intensive water utility training sessions across a wide range of topics (please see below). The enthusiastic BWS trainees included strong participation from all levels, including operators, supervisors and managers - many of whom Ron had the pleasure of working with during previous visits.
Ron also had the opportunity to visit some new parts of the country on this trip. Each of his visits deepens his appreciation for the Belizean culture and people stating on his return, "They continue to impress me with their diversity, resilience, kindness, and generosity. Each trip introduces me to new friends and strengthens existing relationships."
OWB thanks Ron and all of our great trainers who are working around the globe. Many thanks to our valued donors and members who make these critical capacity building events a reality.

Double Run Water Treatment Plant Tour a Major Highlight: Ron was "truly impressed by the facility and its operations." "The staff’s knowledge and dedication to delivering clean, safe water was evident throughout the tour." He was especially impressed with successful integration of two separate drinking water plants into one cohesive system. |
