IANAS (The Inter-American Network of Academies of Science) and UNESCO have just released a book titled "Urban Water Challenges in the Americas. A Perspective from the Academies of Sciences." The release date also coincides with the UNESCO World Water Day on March 22. The book presents a comprehensive country-by-country assessment of the status of urban water needs in the Americas and includes chapters from 20 countries.

There are two chapters contributed by Canadian authors - An Overview of Water Supply, Use and Treatment in Canada – by Banu Ormeci and a chapter on water management in the City of Toronto by Michael D'Andrea, which would be of particular interest to CWWA members.
