CWWA is collaborating with the Water Canada Summit to bring you our first in person Window on Ottawa since 2019! This collaboration means we’ll be bringing you an event that features not only the federal updates and panel discussions you expect from the Window on Ottawa, but also a broader look at water issues across Canada, with a holistic approach to water resource management.

Panels are planned on green infrastructure, building resilience, source protection and indigenous water management. We’ll also have technical sessions including presentations by senior federal representatives from Infrastructure Canada, Standards Council Canada, Environment Canada, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Indigenous Services Canada and Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Some of the topics highlighted in the Summit of particular interest to our members include:

  • Climate Resilient Built Environment
  • Standards to Support Resilience in Infrastructure Program
  • Funds for Climate Resilient Infrastructure Initiatives
  • National Adaptation Strategy
  • DFO’s Fish and Fish Habitat Protection Program Wave 3 Engagement on Policies & Regulatory
  • Green Municipal Funds
  • Indigenous Services Canada’s perception on Atlantic First Nations Water Authority

We’re also planning to host smaller focused webinars over the summer from some federal departments we couldn’t squeeze into the Water Canada Summit.
