CWWA and NGO Coalition Continue to Advocate for the Canada Water Agency

As mentioned in the previous bulletin CWWA has joined a coalition of ngo’s, environmental groups and academics to support the development of the Canada Water Agency and to recommend what this agency might do.
One of the first priorities for the group was to develop recommendations in advance of the Speech from the Throne delivered on September 23 (see related article). The letter reinforced the importance of strong leadership on water protection, especially with the threats of climate change. The letter closed by asking the Prime Minister to reaffirm the commitment to the Canada Water Agency and to highlight the critical importance of water to the health of Canada’s communities, ecosystems, and economy.
