KEEP YOUR TOILETS HAPPY - The Colouring Book!

Just what we’ve all been waiting for….a colouring book to teach children what they can and cannot put down a toilet.

Following from the comic strip success of "The Adventures of Fatberg”, illustrator and story writer Nathan Wright (www.nathanwright.com) has released a colouring book titled, KEEP YOUR TOILETS HAPPY. The new book is available to all of us to support our municipal education campaigns.

This entire project was produced and funded by MESUG (the Municipal Enforcement Sewer Use Group of Canada). MESUG kindly credited CWWA for our partnership as part of a national and international effort to address the growing concern of what is flushed to municipal sewer systems. Our joint efforts continue to develop standards for what can be flushed and an enforceable definition of "flushable."

Perhaps the book could have been called "A Tale of Two Toilets” as we look in on two families – one that flushes only the 3 P’s (pee, poo and toilet paper), while the other terribly abuses their toilet as a garbage can. The story ends with our favourite superhero, Captain FOG, warning the children, "Don’t make your toilet sad by flushing the other stuff.” Oddly enough, Captain FOG just happens to look an awful lot like MESUG’s own Barry Orr.

MESUG is more than happy to share this great tool with any municipality or school and we encourage you to download it and use it as widely as possible.
