The Canadian Standards Association is launching a new standards development program for Wastewater Treatment Plant Design and Construction.  They are looking for volunteers to join their Technical Committee for this standards development program and volunteers for a Task Force for one of the program’s initiatives "Climate Change Adaptation for Wastewater Treatment Plants."  For more information please visit the CSA website.

Essentially, the Technical Committee is a standing committee that approves technical content of new or revised standards.  This committee will start in Sept/Oct of this year and typically meets 2 to 3 times a year. In addition to in-person and virtual meetings, committee members would review and comment on draft standards.

The Task Force is a temporary group struck specifically to draft the "Climate Change Adaptation for WWTP" standard. This more specialized group kicks off their work in mid-May / early June 2017 and they expect one meeting every two months on average for a 12-month period.  Task Force members would meet virtually and in-person.  Their commitment ends after the standard is drafted.

CSA requires the employer to support the employees time and travel expenses.
