CTA in Action: Government Affairs Update

Last week, the Government Affairs team sent out an update on the following topics: 2020 CTA Call on Washington If you missed the update, view here Over the past few years, California has seen an increase of roundabouts (circular intersections) being planned and ultimately constructed throughout the state. At many of the previous California Transportation Permit Advisory Council (CTPAC) meetings CTA’s heavy haul members have expressed concerns over planned roundabout locations, lengthy detours from the roundabout not being able to accommodate an extra legal load and safety concerns that may arise from the construction of the roundabout and the impact it has on the heavy haul industry.
