FMCSA Launches Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Website
The Clearinghouse final rule was published on December 5, 2016. It established a drug and alcohol clearinghouse and identified the roles and responsibilites of those who will be required to use it. The database will provide employers, FMCSA, State Driver Licensing Agencies, and State law enforcement with the ability to quickly identify drivers that are not legally permitted to drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle because of drug and alcohol program violations.
