Pusher Truck Program Recognized by California Transportation Commission

On January 30th, upon a request from the CTC Executive Director Susan Bransen, CTA Senior Vice President Eric Sauer provided a presentation on CTA’s Pusher Truck Program to the Commissioners of the California Transportation Commission at their meeting in Rocklin, California. The presentation provided an overview of the program and the partnership between CTA, Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol to make this one of a kind program so successful. Mr. Sauer also informed the CTC Commissioners that the only reason this program is made possible is because of the generous Pusher Truck program contributions from CTA members. CTA Needs Your Feedback on a Truck Parking Survey!

CTA needs your help! Please take a few moments to review a survey that UC Berkeley and Caltrans put together to collect data from drivers on their travel patterns as well as their opinions and usage of truck parking reservations at truck stops. Please also share with your drivers and dispatch personnel. The survey is part of a study conducted by the UC Berkeley Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC). Part of the study aims to better understand how to strategically implement solutions to combat the truck parking problem.

Caltrans and UC Berkeley are looking for feedback on the design, format, and appearance of the survey.
