CTA in Action: Government Affairs Update
Last week, California Trucking Association (CTA) President Lynnette Brown testified on behalf of the Association for its sponsored legislation, AB 2564, in front of the Senate Environmental Quality Committee. The Committee voted 5-0 to advance CTA's sponsored bill, AB 2564 by Assemblymembers Freddie Rodriguez and Eloise Reyes.

The 2018 Truckin’ For Hospice Poker Run Ride is coming up on June 23.   Last year, we raised $40,000 for hospices in San Joaquin and Stanislaus County.  We are well on our way to another successful year, and we are looking to engage our members for support.

CTA Highlights

CTA President Lynnette Brown meets with California Highway Patrol Commissioner Warren Stanley and Captain and Commander of Commercial Vehicle Section Sean Duryee during her tour of the CHP - Academy

The room was at capacity at the Tri County Unit Meeting at Mission Produce. Shawn Yadon, CTA CEO gave an Industry Update and talked about the Dynamex Decision. CHP Officer Bill Stratman gave an update on the ELD mandate. 
The SB/Riverside Unit held their 39th Annual Arthur F. Thompson Golf Fundraiser last week at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Corona. There were 144 registered golfers. Proceeds from the golf tournament went to the Art Thompson Teen Center in Colton.
