In November 2016, Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA) was passed. Starting January 1, 2018, adults 21 years of age or older can legally grow, possess, and use cannabis for non-medicinal purposes, with certain restrictions. In addition, beginning on January 1, 2018, AUMA makes it legal to sell and distribute cannabis through a regulated business.

The City of San Francisco will be holding public meetings regarding their "Better Market Street" plan. The plan will address the City’s need to restore the aging infrastructure on Market street, while redesigning the corridor to meet the 21st century standards. The corridor is from Octavia to the Embarcadero.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) updated its Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and Hours-of-Service Supporting Documents Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to include cross-border transportation FAQs. To view, click here. 

Acronyms are a particular specialty of the CA DMV – or California Department of Motor Vehicles, to be exact. When it comes to prospective commercial drivers, the most important acronym might be C-O-L-A-S, which corresponds to the five segments of the air brakes check portion of the vehicle inspection.
