Because this training will be based around the CALJOBS website, it is recommended that registered attendees have their Employment Development Department number (EDD#)*, known previously as the Tax ID number. The EDD# is needed to verify and approve an employer seeking to create their Employer account and allows employers to participate in uploading job orders and search for job candidates.
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced the extension for commercial driver’s licenses expiring between March 20 – August 31, 2021. The previously extension was set to expire on May 31, 2021. The extension will allow commercial drivers to continue transportation and delivery of essential products.
Following guidance from the FMCSA, the extension applies to all commercial driver’s licenses, learner’s permits and endorsements that expire between March 20 – August 31, 2021. The DMV has notified California law enforcement of the new extension deadline. Additionally, commercial drivers whose medical certification expires between March 20 – August 31, 2021 have until the August 31, 2021 deadline to update the certificate.
