The California Freight Mobility Plan 2020 details the immediate and long-term policies, strategies and investments necessary to support the ever-evolving, complex network for transporting goods ― whether by truck, train, ship, airplane, automobile, bicycle, foot or robot. The plan focuses on strengthening the state’s existing infrastructure and making strategic improvements to further develop an innovative, economically competitive freight system while protecting communities and the environment. | More

As many of you know, due to the Governor’s Order on Emergency COVID-19 (shelter in place) and Social Distancing, the Caltrans Permit Office has temporarily closed the public walk-in counter service and most of the staff are working remotely, resulting in a delayed turnaround time for permits. Please refer to the How To Apply and FAQ pages for ways to complete your transportation permit business needs.
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff invites you to participate in a webinar on August 12, 2020, to discuss draft concepts for California’s future comprehensive heavy-duty vehicle inspection and maintenance (HD I/M) program. Senate Bill (SB) 210 (Leyva; Chapter 298, Statutes of 2019) directs CARB to develop and implement a HD I/M program in consultation with its partner State agencies. | Register
